Terms of Service

1. Purpose

Basaltone is a voice training application that allows you to measure and improve the frequency of your voice. The application does not constitute medical advice and does not replace a consultation with a speech therapist or ENT doctor.

2. Accounts

The user is responsible for the security of their account. An account is strictly personal and cannot be shared.

3. Premium Subscription

  • The free 7-day trial gives access to all Premium features
  • After the trial, the subscription renews automatically (monthly or annual)
  • Cancellation possible anytime from settings
  • Premium access remains active until the end of the paid period
  • No refund for the current period

4. Microphone usage

The application requires microphone access to function. Audio analysis is performed locally on the device. The user can revoke this permission at any time in their browser or device settings.

5. Limitation of liability

Basaltone does not guarantee specific results. Progress varies by individual. In case of pain or vocal discomfort, stop training and consult a healthcare professional.

6. Intellectual property

All Basaltone content (exercises, algorithms, design) is protected by copyright. Any unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.

8. Health and safety

Vocal training is a physical effort. Excessive or incorrect use may cause vocal fatigue, laryngeal tension, or even injury to the vocal cords. The user agrees to: (a) not train in case of pain, prolonged hoarseness, or diagnosed ENT condition without medical advice; (b) consult an ENT doctor or speech therapist in case of persistent symptoms; (c) acknowledge that Basaltone is not a medical device and provides no diagnosis. Basaltone disclaims all liability for damage resulting from use contrary to these precautions.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the user's place of residence. For users residing in the European Union, the courts of the place of residence have jurisdiction in accordance with consumer protection rules. For users residing in Quebec, the Consumer Protection Act applies. For users residing in the United States, the laws of the state of residence apply. No clause of these terms deprives the user of the mandatory rights guaranteed by local legislation.
