Voice measurement methodology

The public test estimates fundamental frequency from microphone audio processed locally in the browser. It summarizes stable voiced portions instead of treating every frame as reliable.

Use similar phrases, microphone distance and environment. Trends across comparable samples matter more than one extreme value.

Noise, microphone processing, creaky voice and unvoiced speech can affect detection. Frequency is not a measure of identity, vocal health, resonance or overall voice quality.
